STANDARD FIRST AID
WITH BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
2 Days / 16 Hrs
This 16-hour course is the most common first aid & CPR/AED training program and covers all bases. We focus on basic life support for health care providers. It is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform BLS skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. There will be 1 instructor for every 12 participants in the course.
The certificates are issued by the Canadian Red Cross and valid for 1 year.
We require a minimum of 8 participants for on-site training.

How to help someone who is choking
When and how to provide CPR for adults (child/infant optional)
How to work as a "team"
Severe allergic reactions (how to use an Epi-pen)
Asthma, hyperventilation,
Shock & fainting
Bleeding (minor cuts, scrapes, bruises, amputations, impaled objects)
Head & spinal injuries
Muscle, bone & joint injuries Burns (Heat, Chemical, Electrical and Radiation)
